Gerber Coburn Adds Crib-to-Oval Option to Diamond Turning Lathe Generator Series

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn - October 31, 2008 - Gerber Coburn, a business unit of Gerber Scientific, Inc. (NYSE: GRB), announced today the launch of their new high-speed, Crib-to-Oval (CTO) option on the Diamond Turning Lathe (DTL) generator series, the flagship product of Gerber’s Performance Series line.

“This latest option to our DTL supports our strategy of producing expandable platform products that grow with the needs of laboratories worldwide,” states Randy Baldwin, Director of Marketing, Gerber Coburn. “Not only is the DTL the only true dry-cut, single diamond, multi-processing generator on the market, it is now capable of cribbing all lenses to oval dimensions under 10 seconds per lens.” The CTO option can be incorporated on the existing DTL100, DTL150, and DTL200 units, or the option can be ordered with the DTL directly from the factory.
