SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn - November 4, 2008 - Gerber Coburn, a business unit of Gerber Scientific, Inc. (NYSE: GRB), announces its agreement with Buchmann Optical Holding to distribute the Weco line of products for the laboratory segment effective immediately.

Under terms of the agreement, Gerber Coburn will distribute the Weco brand industrial products including the new Edge 990/980/970, Edge 950, Verifier Pro T, and the Trace II exclusively to the wholesale market in the United States . “We continue to offer customers new and exciting products that will enhance their business. For example, the Edge 990 offers the industry an automated, high-tech, blockless technology, which lowers the overall cost of lens edging by eliminating the finish block, blocking preparation, and management associated with the process. The Edge 950, in either tabletop or stand-alone tower configuration, offers wholesale laboratories a lower priced, workhorse edger for lens finishing,” comments Randy Baldwin, Director of Marketing, Gerber Coburn.
